The Endeavour Scholarship Programme was launched by the Governor-General of New Zealand in October 2001 and is now in its 16th year.
The programme is open to Catholic, Maori and Pasifika boys who are currently in Year 6 or Year 8 at their present school, for Year 7 or 9 intake in 2018 and is designed for students who display leadership potential, academic ability and participate in cultural activities.
The scholarship provides opportunities for four boys each year to receive an education at Sacred Heart College for the remaining school years.
This is a financial scholarship which includes financial contributions, boarding fees if applicable (from Year 9) and other costs. The level of parental contribution is independently assessed and based on the current financial position of the parents.
There is an annual review of the performance of the scholarship holder against attitude and commitment criteria.
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold New Zealand residency visas. Students currently attending Sacred Heart College are not eligible to apply.
To apply for a Scholarship please contact Mrs Nicola Thomas for an application form. Applications can be submitted at any time before the closing date. You will receive an acknowledgement of your application by mail. A shortlist of boys will then be contacted and asked to attend an interview together with their parents. The interview date will be advised. All candidates, both successful and unsuccessful will be advised in writing by the end of Term 2.
Applications close on Friday 31 March 2017
