Sacred Heart College Hostel currently operates the Tuck Shop. It is under the management of the Hostel's Catering Manager, Mr Robin Shah. The Tuck Shop is run by Ms Heather McClune and her team members. The facility offers a wide variety of nutritious food, and takes into consideration the range of dietary and cultural needs of the students as well as adhering to the food and beverage classification system for schools. Our focus is on providing quality food with good value for money.
The menu is balanced over the year with summer salads and healthy rolls, to hearty soup and hot beverages in winter. The Tuck Shop has incorporated a philosophy of oven-baked food and fresh healthy salads. Fresh fruit is sold at cost to encourage the students to eat healthily.
Tuck Shop Hours
Before school from 8am to 8.45am.
Morning tea and lunch are served during school break time.
Years 7 and 8
Years 7 and 8 students are able to pre-order and pay for morning tea and lunch before 8.45am. Food and drinks may be taken at this time, or the students can pick up their orders at morning tea/lunch from the Years 7 and 8 window at the Tuck Shop.
Senior students may pre-order food but must queue at break time to collect it. Students going on a field trip may pre-order their lunch the day prior and collect it before 8.30am on the day of the trip.
