The Sacred seconds continued their good start to the season with a comprehensive victory over Kings third eleven on Friday. With Sacred Heart bowling first, the Kings batsmen struggled to find a regular flow of runs and were eventually bowled out for 94 in the 29th over with Rory King taking an inglorious 6-21 off 8 overs, as well as Liam Smyth and Tom Armstrong taking two wickets apiece. In reply Sacred’s batsmen were rarely troubled, reaching the target four wickets down and with 25 overs to spare, Adam Mackinnon top scoring with 30.
The Colts continued their unbeaten run with a comfortable 45 run victory over St Peters on Friday. Winning the toss and batting SHC posted a strong 226/7 with the innings based around James Davies with 89 who was well supported by Adam Jones with 39.
SHC then backed up there batting with a good bowling performance led by opening bowler Nathan Sutherland with 3 wickets with Adam Jones picking up 2.
St Peters completed their 45 overs 9 down for 181.
The Colts are now six from six and are aiming for the Colts Championship. They play Takapuna Grammar on Sunday at home.
The Senior A continue with winning way and beat Dilworth by 42 runs. SHC made 154, Dilworth 112. Best batting from Abe Taucher with 40, best bowling from Nick Baker 3 for 7 and Joe Smith 2 for 20.
