The annual Race Unity round of speeches commenced last night – Wednesday 25 March. The topic for this year was “little steps”.
Lemeki Namoa (Year11), George Witana (Year 12) and Jayden Key (Year 13) entered the competition. The boys are to be congratulated for the hard work that they placed into the process of writing speeches and perfecting delivery. They gave lively deliveries and represented the College proudly.
Lemeki and George were knocked out of their heat. Jayden won his heat so now progresses to round two on Monday 30 March to compete against the other eight contestants for the Auckland title. Jayden was stunning with his lively delivery where he used his speaking stage well and engaged his audience with his special sense of humour. We wish Jayden good luck for Monday and know that with Lemeki and George public speaking is in good hands for the future.
