Like many years in the past, Sacred Heart Young Vinnies ran Shave For A Cure again this year to raise funds for Blood and Leukaemia Cancer New Zealand. This year after a slightly slow start, we managed to raise just over $1200.
This was a good effort and positive contribution to Blood and Leukaemia Cancer New Zealand, and there are many people who deserve recognition for this. Firstly to all those who shaved their heads and gave donations, the parents and other sponsors who provided money for donations and the year 12 boys who gave up their time to fundraise for an outstanding cause. In Particular, three boys deserve recognition for their outstanding donations; Noah Hemi (Year 12) who raised $140, William Thomas (Year 9) who raised $124 and Hamish James (Year 7) who raised $155. Credit also to Mr Wong for his generous assistance.
