Maadi Cup, 2017

The Rowing Squad spent the past 8 days in Karapiro for the New Zealand Secondary Schools rowing championships (the Maadi Cup). The boys had a rewarding week and a showed a great deal of school pride on and off the water.

The squad made it into nine A finals and two B finals, coming away with two medals. Bronze in the boys over 15 Lightweight double Sculls and a Gold medal in the Boys over 15 Lightweight four.

The boys under 18 8+ made the A final for the first time in seven years and finished fourth, they put in an incredible performance and did the school proud.

Liam Zinzley and Luca Kirwan have been selected to trial for the New Zealand Junior rowing team, we wish them all the best for their upcoming trials.
