New Principal appointed

Sacred Heart College has great pleasure in announcing that Mr Stephen Dooley has been appointed as the new Principal.

The Board of Trustees views Stephen as a dynamic, personable and inspirational leader for their young men, staff and wider community. Stephen brings strong values, authenticity, commitment to excellence, financial acumen and strategic thinking to this role. His significant experience in Catholic boys’ schools, as well as two years spent at a Catholic boys’ boarding school in Ireland, ensures he is well equipped to continue to build and enhance the success of Sacred Heart College.

Stephen is a proud Catholic. He is a Rosmini College Old Boy and began his teaching career at his alma mater, assuming the role of Director of Religious Studies as well as a Head of Department. In 2009 he moved to St Peter’s College where he has led the school in a number of roles. Since 2016 Stephen has been Associate Headmaster with the key task of overseeing and implementing the school’s Strategic Project Plan resulting in unprecedented academic, sporting and staffing success.

The College and community wish him every success leading Sacred Heart and look forward to his commencement in Term 2.
