Scholars Assembly

Yesterday we held our Scholars Assembly which honoured our top academic students from the 2018 NCEA and Scholarship exams.

Excellence Endorsements
A total of 116 boys passed NCEA with an Excellence endorsement, 44 in Level 1, 42 in Level 2 and 31 in Level 3. These boys were brought across stage to be acknowledged for their fantastic results. A list of all students who pass with an Excellence endorsement can be found on the Academic Achievement page on the website.

Multi Course Endorsements

The criteria for being awarded an Academic Excellence badge is as follows;
A course endorsed with Excellence at the NCEA level that corresponds to the student’s age is awarded 1 point.
A course endorsed with Merit at the NCEA level that is a year ahead of the student’s age is awarded 1 point.
A course endorsed with Excellence at the NCEA level that is a year ahead of the student’s age is awarded 2 points.
A total of four points in any given year is required to be awarded an Academic Excellence badge.
