Sacred Heart and Baradene’s production for 2019 is The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
Bertolt Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle is a classic of modern theatre. It tells the story of a milk maid, Grusha, who saves the child of the governor during a violent revolution in the far off country of Grusinia. Part folk tale and part parable about “who owns what and why”, this unusual play has had a massive impact on theatre since it was first performed.
Featuring over 35 students from Sacred Heart and Baradene this production follows last year’s sold out performance of Blood Brothers.
