Our Year 9 and 10 Touch team qualified for the Auckland finals after winning the Eastern Zone championship.
In near perfect conditions at Cox Bay Reserve on Tuesday 1 December, the boys battled through the pool stages winning all games; 7-4 v Kelston Boys, Auckland Grammar 8-7, and Botany 9-0. Which meant we finished first in our pool and met MAGS, we won this tight game 7-6. The team went onto play Auckland Grammar in the final. Sacred dominated from the start and were up 6-2 at half time. AGS fought back to 6-4 but eventually ran out of gas, probably due to playing a tough semi-final earlier. Sacred came away in the end winning and were crowned Auckland Champions 10-4. A superb collective team effort all day. Congratulations to Talon Shelford, MVP.
Special thanks to Mr Serrano, Mr Edey, Mr Guise and Mrs Rooke for their help on the day.
