We welcome your interest in educating your son/s at Sacred Heart College.
At Sacred Heart, we stand by our commitment to make boys into courageous Marist men. Since the College was established in 1903, the vision and values of St Marcellin Champagnat have driven our students and staff to be leaders in their faith and share the Marist spirit with the wider community.
Sacred Heart students experience a learning environment where their talents are celebrated, their needs supported, and the College values prevail in everyday learning. Boys are encouraged to aspire to be the very best they can be.
To uphold our College values, enrolment preference is given to families with an established connection to the Catholic Church, and in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Catholic Bishops of New Zealand in 2003. When all students in this category have been enrolled, we open applications to other prospective students.
Most of our spaces are held for students with prior connections to the Catholic Church. New enrolments are primarily for Year 7 and 9 day-school boys and Year 9 boarders, but we do have some space for students in other levels.
To best prepare for enrolling your son, please read the following documents, which detail our educational philosophy, enrolment preference process and College facilities:
