Sacred Heart College has evolved through the dedication of many Marist Brothers and follows the educational philosophy of St Marcellin our founder “to teach children one must first love them”. This philosophy is still at the core of teaching at Sacred Heart today. It is our vision to prepare each student to leave the College well-grounded in his faith, and ready and able to participate in a complex and changing world with the determination to succeed at the highest level in personal and professional life.
Our mission is the making of Marist Men - men who will be great fathers, caring husbands and men of faith and character. The sense of community in our College, together with our Sacred Heart Pillars, ensures we respond to the spiritual, academic and social needs of our students. Our results - academically, on the sporting field and in the arts - are testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and the willingness of our students to be the best Marist Men they can be.
We value parental input and endeavour to work closely with you. Together, we can work to ensure we achieve our vision for each student effectively – a grounding in the Catholic faith, preparation for the challenges of the future, and the confidence and resilience to succeed in an ever-changing and challenging world. The College has outstanding teachers and specialist non-teaching staff. All are committed to supporting the Special Character of the College and to helping each young man to continue to develop his spirituality, skills and knowledge through academic and co-curricular activities. They are hungry for their students to succeed and work constantly to provide every opportunity for students to learn successfully. Our Senior Management Team sets high standards and leads the staff in quality delivery of the curriculum and co-curricular activities.
I invite you to join our Sacred Heart community.
