Music Showcase 2024
The Sacred Heart College Music Department gathered together for the annual music showcase, an event that highlighted the talents of our bands, choirs, and instrumental ensembles. This year’s showcase captivated the audience with a stunning display of musical skill and student dedication to provide an excellent night of entertainment.
The audience was treated to an evening filled with a variety of musical repertoire and a range of instruments performed by 200 students. We are so pleased to see such a large group of performers showcasing the band and strings coming out of our compulsory Year 7 and 8 Music Programme. It is always a treat to see the progression of skills from the beginners to the more advanced.
A huge thanks to our HOD Jonny White, Helen Klassen, and Sacred Heart staff for their hard work to organise the event. We would also like to thank all of their skilled teachers for supporting the student's passion and families for supporting practice to get to a place of performance.
The student tech team enhanced the showcase with their impressive visual effects and sound engineering. Their hard work and creativity added an extra layer of excitement to the performances.
The fundraising efforts by the parents, who sold food and organised raffles with generous donations was a tremendous success! The funds they raised will support our music programs and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, whether by donating or volunteering.
