Covid-19 announcement – 23 March 2020

The Prime Minister has announced this afternoon that the nation will now be moving through to Level 4 of the alert system by midnight Wednesday, for a minimum of 4 weeks. As such, Sacred Heart College will be closed from tomorrow to everyone apart from those students whose parents meet the criteria for essential workers. We ask that if you fit the essential worker criteria and require your son/s to attend school tomorrow and Wednesday, that you email Anne Walbridge, [email protected] so we can prepare for this.

Online learning from home

As mentioned in previous communications, we have been preparing for online learning at home, which will officially start on Thursday. This will allow teachers time to focus on their families as we adjust to the weeks ahead. Please be patient as we work through the systems and processes as we get things underway.

Extensive attempts have been made to identify any students that are without a device or internet connection at home. If your son fits this criteria and we have not already been in contact with you, please contact Mrs Daria Spence immediately on [email protected] or call 09 529 3660.

Your sons have received instructions for online learning from their teachers. This information will also be emailed to parents on Wednesday, as well as any additional information.

We pray that you and your families are safe through this difficult and challenging time.
