From the grit shown on the hockey field and Basketball courts to the glory of claiming National titles in Football and Rugby, our athletes have done the college proud!

Premier Football

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly our Premier Football team’s triumphant run in the National Championship. For the first time in four years, they clinched the title, defeating Tauranga Boys in a thrilling 1-0 final. The team's defence was nothing short of outstanding, conceding only one goal throughout the entire tournament. Their perseverance and skill under pressure have made this victory truly special, marking a historic moment for the college's football program.

U15 Rugby

Our U15 Rugby team added another trophy to the cabinet by winning the Hurricanes Tournament in Wellington. Their journey to victory saw them overcoming some of the best teams in the country, including a memorable win against Kelston Boys and a commanding performance in the final against St Peters. This was a superb end to a fantastic tournament, and the team’s success reflects their talent and hard work.

Hockey

Our hockey team battled fiercely throughout the tournament, finishing a commendable 8th place out of 21 competing teams. In a highly competitive field, they showed great determination and teamwork. Their placement is a testament to their hard work and dedication, laying a solid foundation for future success.

Basketball

Our Basketballers were down at Bruce Pulman Arena with some of the country’s best teams. This competition also serves as a qualifying tournament for the National Finals. The team fought hard all week narrowly losing some tough battles. They eventually finished 9th, one spot better than last year.

This Winter Tournament Week will be remembered for its thrilling highs and memorable achievements. From Basketball, hockey to Football and Rugby, every team represented the college with distinction and pride. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and supporters for an incredible week of sport!
