Our publications provide regular communication with parents and our wider community to keep them informed about life, activities and important information at Sacred Heart College.
Each Friday a weekly newsletter is emailed to every parent and caregiver at the College. These newsletters feature upcoming events and highlight important academic, cultural and sporting achievements from the week. News items are often linked to longer feature articles on the website. Copies of each weekly newsletter can be also be viewed on the Weekly Newsletter tab on the website.
The Confortare magazine is produced twice a year and features stories of interest from the College in Special Character, Academia, Sport and Cultural activities. The Old Boys section features news and photos of reunions and events held around the country. This much loved magazine is posted to over 7,000 current and past students and from 2015 an online edition is produced which has links, slideshows and videos embedded. You can read the latest edition on our Confortare Archives page.
Each year a College Yearbook is produced which records significant school events – special character, academic, cultural and sporting; staffing, students and annual reports. The Yearbook is available to all current students and small supplies are available for sale to the community.
In 2015 Sacred Heart College introduced the use of Social Media to connect with our community online. During the setup process we ran parent and student information sessions so that we could establish a safe environment for all. We look forward to connecting with you in an online environment where you can be instantly informed of College events. Our aim is also to engage with our wider Old Boy network both in New Zealand and around the world.
In the Resources panel you will find some fact sheets that are good guidelines for use of Social Media. There is also a link to a Facebook online tutorial which details important information on Privacy Settings.
